'Burgh Basketball

Well, Fall Soccer, both outdoor and indoor, has come to and end for Drew. He has created a great friendship with a great group of kids that have moved from sport to sport with him starting with T-Ball, and now it's time to play some basketball!

Today was the first "clinic" of the season. What's really great about basketball is that they play at the local Catholic School gymnasium, and the coaches of both teams spend the entire "game" teaching the kids the rules, techniques, and fun of the game. There is no pressure on the kids to "win" per se, but they have a lot of fun and really learn a lot about how to play the game.

Last year the kids really didn't know what they were doing, but even just during this first game, you can see a ton of improvement this year. The kids had a lot of fun, and with knowing each other from being on previous teams, the teamwork and trust building is definitely showing through. It's really quite amazing!

The other great part is that the parents are really starting to form a bond and we all look forward to seeing, sitting and cheering each other's kids on during the game. It's a great way to spend a snowy, Saturday morning in the dead of winter!
