First Week of School

With Drew having Summer School, it really didn't feel "that" different sending him to school on the official 1st day of school. He is already such an independant, confident little boy that it really wasn't a big deal for him. He was just excited about being there, learning and making new friends. He was totally ready for this phase in his life.

The first day the parents were allowed to go in the school and walk the K's to their classroom, take pics, give hugs, etc. I took pictures, but right now my laptop is getting fixed, so they will have to wait until I can upload them. Drew was a pro and was just so excited to start his day. He came home with lots to tell and was ready for his next day.

Thursday was the beginning of the regular "drop off" which only allows parents to drop off the kids at the Kindergarden wing door and then they are escorted by staff to their room. Drew walked right in and didn't even look back for a kiss or a hug. That was pretty upsetting for me, but thankfullyI had Colin to focus my attention on for the rest of the day.

Friday I got a kiss before going into school and it solidified that he was truly ready for this adventure called Kindergarden!
